Hair Transformation - Part 2

Bye bye strawberry blonde!

A few of you were asking how I spent the 5 hours while my hair was getting done so, this is it! I was practicing my lip singing skills for the MV shoot! There's actually a lot of things you have to prepare before 'heading to work' that you don't really think about until you get to it and you're thinking "crapsticks, I really could have done XYZ". So for the music video I pulled out the works: singing in the mirror (cause I don't totally do that anyway..), seeing how I look when I make weird faces, memory bank of different emotions, making sure I remember how I recorded the track (as I sing it differently everytime I perform depending on how I'm feeling), etc etc etc... and, wait. Isn't this post about my hair?! Ok. MY BAD. That is how I spent the time anyway (until they made me take my head phones out then I was left once again - just me and my green tea)

TADAAAAA! Ok I know it may look EXACTLY THE SAME as it was before but they assured me its not (and whipped out a colour chart to prove it!). It's more of a light chocolate (lets call it milk chocolate to make it sound pretty), but in the sun it goes a bit reddy. Mahogany? Who knows. They said it would get lighter the more I washed it so the next few days consisted of me keeping it all up to preserve the colour for the MV shooting.

TADAAAAA! What do you think? They say it makes me look more my age! I was a little skeptical about returning to my Roxy R.E.M fringe but change is good! They're the pro's anyway and don't you just love that fresh feeling of getting a new chop?

Ok I promise I don't randomly just go to parks and do massive photoshoots. Yes yes, it's for the blog but we ended up having an hour and a half wait on our hands before the meeting so decided to kill some time and explore!

Hair Transformation - Part 1

IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS IS ONLY PART ONE MY HAIR IS NO LONGER THIS COLOUR

I didn't really take into account how busy I was going to be when I said I was going to blog loads more about my experience being here. In the midst of endless hours of dance, chinese, performance, drama, vocal lessons, shoots and filming, I've finally found some time to get some blogging in! So here is what happened after Japan - the start of the style transformation (which I was kindly not notified about.. so you can imagine how I felt when this happened (next few photos)..

Beauty shot of the year. But it's ok cause I've got my two cups of green tea to see me through it all (yeah, if I had only known I'd be there over 5 hours). Little did I know...

Errr.... WHAT!?

MY HAIR! ITS BLONDE!!! THEY BLEACHED IT?! ALL!? :|

I'm not gonna lie, it was kind of cool to see how I'd look like with blonde hair, it was pretty fun. Maybe blondes really do have more fun. I was giggling and laughing all over the place - they couldn't keep me still enough to tell me that the chocolate they were going for was lighter than my normal hair and therefore they had to bleach it first. Typical! Last one to know whats actually going on and its my hair!

Trying horribly hard to make this look work for me. Was kinda going for the whole regal 'queen' image with the up do but everyone on twitter and facebook labeled the look - 'alien'. Hmph - Megamind it is I guess.

Wait .. ginger? Coffee? DRY FASTER!!

Oh? This was a surprise (not the bangs part, I somehow knew one day my REM Roxy hair style would come back to haunt me!). The colour was far from expected, far from 'chocolate'. But it was different, and different can be good! Except I don't think I could ever come close to looking expectable styling my hair by myself at home which was going to cause a little bit of a problem..

I don't think the team were too happy with it cause they told me that I'd be coming back in two days once they 'reviewed' the look. "AFTER ALL THAT TIME!?" I thought to myself - quietly. But it was fun! Well - after. I got to enjoy 2 days of being strawberry blonde (this is strawberry blonde, right? I always wondered what it was and I've decided that this is it. I like strawberries. I like to say I've now had strawberry blonde hair... err.. don't judge me.)

 AHHH! What a difference hair and makeup make! (I'm wearing just my usual eyeliner in the left photo and they did a little makeup experiment on the right photo!). What do you think? ANYWAY I'll upload another post tomorrow on part 2! STAY TUNED! Bye bye strawberry blonde!
